The role of school leaders is multifaceted and requires adaptive leadership that focuses on teaching and learning. The first Leaders' Speaker Series of 2024/25 will provide an opportunity for school leaders to hear from Cale Birk.

The overall goal of the series is to focus on advancing leadership excellence, and the challenges associated with leading through theoretical and practical guidance.

Welcome to Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation, a workshop for system and school administrators. The provincial Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy deals with accountability and continuous professional growth and ensures that a teacher’s professional practice is under ongoing supervision. When a teacher has a probationary contract or when informed by supervision data, the evaluation of a teacher will occur. The Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy defines the process and the Teaching Quality Standard defines the competencies for professional practice.

This two-day workshop is scheduled for January 30-31, 2025 at Barnett House, Edmonton.
